LP COVER: ALABAMA SHAKES

This LP cover was my creation for the American rock band The Alabama Shakes, their album ‘Sound & Color’. This is one of my favourite bands. I wanted to have their music playing in my head whilst I designed this piece as their music gives me alot of positive energy and motivation. I had many previous concepts before finally getting to the final idea. I really wanted to play with type in a way that wasn’t soley digital. In this design, I had laser cut my text then arranged floral pieces to sit under the cutout parts of the text, then photographed in the natural light. Then with many hours on photoshop we established this piece, which is one pf my personal favourites.
